VERSATILE PERFORMER ANGELA MALHOTRA NOMINATED FOR 2007 NAMIC VISION AWARD
FOR HER PERFORMANCE ON SÍ TV’S “UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR”

LOS ANGELES, March 9, 2007 -- Angela Malhotra, one of the stars of the Sí TV sketch comedy series "Unacceptable Behavior," has been nominated for a 2007 NAMIC Vision Award by the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications, in the BestActress in a Comedy Series category. “Unacceptable Behavior” is a 30-minute, no holds barred sketch comedy show with a multicultural cast and a Latino point of view. Fully scripted and produced before a live studio audience, “Unacceptable Behavior” brings together a talented, hilarious ensemble who deliver outrageous one-of-a-kind performances that take on the sacred cows in today’s pop culture.

"Angela is an incredible comedy performer who can create a wide range of hysterical characters,” commented Ed Leon, Sí TV’s Senior Vice President of Programming. “She has moved seamlessly from Bitter Cuban Housewife to Fashionista Nun to Indian Outsourcing Specialist, leaving nothing but big laughs in her wake. It’s terrific that NAMIC has taken note of Angela’s breakout performance in our series.”

Malhotra is in good company. The other nominees in the NAMIC Vision Awards’ Best Actress in a Comedy Series category are: Tonya Patano for "Weeds" on Showtime, Mo'Nique for "Mo'Niques FAT chance" on Oxygen and Sheryl Underwood for "Comic View" on BET.

"I am thrilled to be nominated alongside such talented actresses and for a show that I truly believe in,” said Malhotra.

Malhotra is a multi-talented artist whose resume spans theatre, television, film, and comedy improv. Her range as an actress is equally impressive, as she has performed in everything from Shakespeare to situation comedies. She is a gifted dancer and singer, and even performed with a magicians from LA’s famed Magic Castle magic club. Malhotra also performs regularly in improv shows at venues including Los Angeles’ illustrious Comedy Store and IceHouse.

NAMIC is the premiere organization focusing on multi-ethnic diversity in the communications industry. Nominations for the 13th annual NAMIC Vision Awards were announced on January 23rd by the National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications, honoring outstanding
achievements in original, multi-ethnic cable programming. The awards ceremony is scheduled for March 27, 2007, at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
